About

My art journey

The act of viewing art can be as creative as the making of it.  Whether it is sharing a love of colour, pattern, texture or taking delight in imaginative craft and storytelling, encountering an artist’s work is a way of understanding the world.

My creative career began with bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Carnegie-Mellon University, Andy Warhol’s alma mater. I spent most of my twenties working in the art world, as an artist-in-residence in Houston TX, as a MFA student of video art in Chicago, working in art galleries, as a production assistant for New York City video artists and even as a picture framer on the upper west-side of Manhattan. My video work paved the way for jobs in the post-production and broadcast industries in NYC and London.

I now design media and brand creative in London where I live with my family. I am currently the Design Direction Lead for TUI, the European travel brand, working on projects that drive design evolution in our sales and communications channels.

I have created this blog as a way to participate in a wider art conversation with friends, colleagues and art lovers who want to know more about the local scene. This is a personal project that gives me the bandwidth to use my digital design skills to shed some light on the fabulous creative crucible that is London. As this project evolves I would love to feature not just reviews of exhibitions but interviews with London artists, ideas for art walking tours, opportunities to exhibit artwork in a virtual gallery space and my dream project – a digital London Art Calendar. Stay tuned for more!
